This year I have been given the opportunity to run for Homecoming Court with my great friend Martin Urbaniak and it has been an awesome way to finish out my college career at Eastern. I am so proud to represent the university in so many lights from working as a tourguide, being in publications, through Honors College, the College of Education and through Studying Abroad. I am a proud Eagle studying Elementary Education with a focus in Math and Language Arts. I am a member of Sigma Delta Tau, Kappa Delta Pi, and also Tours Coordinator for the Admissions Visits Programs. I have had a passion for this university since the day I stepped on the campus five years ago during the Presidential Scholarship Competition my senior year of High School. Years later I never would have thought I would be where I am today doing things so exponentially beyond my wildest dreams. I have grown so much from the relationships I have acquired at this university and also the knowledge I have gained in all of my experiences in and out of classes. I cannot wait to start my career as a teacher in just a short amount of time. I know that from all of my experiences I will be the best possible teacher and inspire students to find their true potential. I hope to travel the world after I graduate and teach English or teach in American schools abroad. I am so happy to be running with my co-coordinator and best friend Martin and I really hope that I make a difference in the lives I have touched at EMU. If you haven’t voted yet you can go to my.emich.edu and vote for Martin and Michelle until Thursday at the latest! Thanks and GO EMU!!!

(Any candidate that would like to submit a blog post about why they are running for Homecoming Court can send their post to kristine@hunchfree.com)

  1. Fantastic video! I just hope the talks to bring it back will work soon, because it’s a shame to rob the world from Michigan awesomeness!
