The countdown to the first day of classes has begun! It is crazy how fast the summer is flying by! In honor of classes beginning again we are hitting all the stops ahead of time to get those first time college goers ready for the full EMU experience!
The best part about Fall semester is all the events that take place on campus to get you involved within different departments, clubs and organizations. One of my favorite events that takes place every year towards the beginning of the semester is Fajita Fest and yes, they have fajitas!
Fajita Fest is a First Four event designed for you, the students to explore the different student organizations on campus.
There are over 250 student organizations to choose from so it is a great way to meet new people and get involved in something you care about! Getting involved is also a good way to stay active within the EMU community, which creates a new home with long lasting memories.
If you’re interested in attending Fajita Fest during First Four and you’d like to get an idea of what types of student organizations are on campus visit Eagle Sync and you can get a list of student orgs. with a little information about each one.
Knowing a little bit about the organizations you’re interested can help you to think of questions to ask members during Fajita Fest! This can give you a better idea of what will interest and fit with you and what you want to do.
This year, Fajita Fest will be taking place on the last day of First Four orientation, September 4, 2017 from 12 to 3 pm. If you are an incoming freshmen and would like to know more about First Four and Fajita Fest download the Guidebook App. This year, there will be limited First Four schedules hard copy so get the app prior to the first day of orientation to be fully prepared on what to expect.
