Everyone knows that as a college student, there’s nothing better than eating for free. But, there’s only so many free meals offered on campus, and eventually, you’ll get sick of your typical pizza and Ramen.
When that happens, you have a couple options. You can use your student ID to pay for food at one of the many establishments on campus including The Commons, The Student Center, The Eagle Cafes and more.
5) The Eagle Cafes
These cafes, which are scattered around campus, are a great place to grab food between classes when you don’t have time for a full meal.
They offer tons of options for both food and drink. Pick up some chips for a quick snack, or if you’re hungrier try one of their grab and go sandwiches or salads.
Quench your thirst with water, pop, juice, or get a much-needed energy boost with coffee.
4) The Eastern Eateries
Located in the First Year Center, The Eateries offer burger, chicken, pizza, salads, soups, and more! Stop at one of 4 eateries for a meal or grab a quick bite from a great selection of snacks. ‘
The Eateries have plenty of seating, making it a great place to meet friends for lunch. They even have a printer!
3) CrossRoads MarketPlace
The MarketPlace is a hot spot for students with extra Flex at the end of the semester. With the largest selection of grab and go items, the MarketPlace is our on-campus convenience store.
While there you can get pizza, sandwiches, and a rotating menu of homestyle meals.
2) The Commons
I’m sure you’ve heard the phrase “quality over quantity.” Well, that’s not always true.
The Commons is Eastern’s all-you-can-eat dining option. Here you can find hot entrees, a salad bar, deli, grill, pizza, cereal, a dessert counter, and soft-serve ice cream. There’s plenty of seating and one meal swipe grants you access for the whole day so you can camp out and study for exams.
1) The Student Center Food Court
Ranked as the #1 Student Union in the country, our student center has plenty to offer including Smashburger, Mondo, Sono, Blaze, Starbucks, The Hasty Rabbit, and The Lobby Shop.
The Student Center is a great place to meet up with friends for a meal, to work on a project, or grab a coffee.
